Wanker Or Genius
The Brief
Using media of your choice, present a case for or against your chosen celebrity. This might take the form of any number of graphic products – book, magazine, animation or film, zine, a series of posters? The outcome is up to you, as is the tone and bias of your thoughts. Be bold and be brave, be controversial if called upon, but above all make the decision – wanker or genius – then set out to convince the world why!
I chose Eric Gill and portrayed him as a wanker by creating a game that could be used on an iphone or any computer. It is a game where you have to slide the tiles either from side to side or up and down to try and reveal Eric Gills hidden secrets. I used Eric Gills font Joanna Solotype to create the tiles and underneath some of the hidden tiles were some of Eric Gills work that revealed his secret life.
